Silver, art and antiques, sold where they sell best.
Most estates in Greater Victoria hold a few pieces worth more than they look: silver, jewellery, art, coins, china or mid-century furniture. We research what each one is worth and where it sells best, whether that’s your own sale, consignment or a specialist auction. When you need a formal appraisal, we arrange one with a qualified appraiser.

Questions people ask
Do you do appraisals?
We research values ourselves, which is enough to price most pieces well. When you need a formal written appraisal, for example for an estate or for insurance, we arrange it with a qualified appraiser rather than writing one ourselves.
How do you work out what something is worth?
We look at the maker, the condition and what similar pieces have actually sold for, then decide where it will sell best. A piece that would sell cheaply at a house sale may do far better at a specialist auction.
Where do special pieces sell best?
It depends on the piece. Some sell best in your own estate sale or online auction, some on consignment and some at a specialist auction. We research each one, recommend where it should go, and the plan goes in your written estimate.
What does it cost?
It depends on what you have and how it sells. After the free walkthrough you get a written estimate with every cost laid out, before you sign anything, and there’s no obligation.
